Flying Without Wingz/Super Dre
July 29 • Show begins at 9pm
Part of The Local Music Club
in District Square
Born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan, V.Carter and iRAWniQ are Flying Without Wingz. Formed in early 2009, FW² have burst onto the Grand Rapids music scene, fusing elements of hip hop, rock, dance and electronica into one unique sound.
Awarded “Next to Blow” at the 2009 Grand Rapids Hip-Hop Awards, the duo released three albums (The X-Files Mixtape, No Wingz Allowed EP and their most recent release, HipTRONica) in 2009. From those releases, the songs “All Stars” and “Turn on Your TV” received radio airplay on 104.5 WSNX in Grand Rapids. Known for an incredibly energetic live show, FW² have shared the stage with Slum Village, Flynn Adams, Juiceboxx and many others while playing countless shows in West Michigan. Their fan base continues to grow and the act finds itself ready and able to fly even higher in 2010. For FW², not only is the sky the limit, but the whole universe is within reach.
Over the past few years, SuperDre has brought her unique sound and contagious stage presence to events across the Midwest. The year 2009 saw the launch of Bass Candi, a boutique label founded by SuperDre that showcases her hip-hop influenced techno beats infused with the glitchy dubstep sound she is known and loved for.
Along with an artist agreement with Native Instruments, one of SuperDre’s biggest claims to fame is the Technical Genesis mix series – a ten-volume showcase of her ability to effortlessly create a unique mix of minimal techno, electro and retro. In 2009, she also had a cameo in the film Movie Logic 101 and also won the Grand Rapids DJ of the Year award.

Ninth Street Bridge
July 30 • Show begins at 8pm in District Square
Project 32, one of Southwest Michigan's premier variety bands, brings a new definition to the term “variety band”. With a musical selection that ranges from the '50s right up through some of today's hottest country and rock/pop hits, Project 32 is truly a crowd pleaser.
The “project” began nearly five years ago. Several of the areas top musicians decided to put together an act with the idea of making great music for everyone to enjoy. That simple concept lead to what is now one of the area's most sought after bands, playing not only local clubs, but the area's largest venues, including C.O. Brown Stadium, Kellogg Arena and the new Firekeeper's Casino.
The band has taken many different paths to reach the place they are today. With over a century worth of playing experience between them, this is a band of seasoned professionals that have one purpose...to entertain the masses.
